Just a reminder that our Bonfire Pack Meeting is this Friday night at the Heyser’s farm starting at 7:00.
Please plan on arriving 15 mins early so you can park your car and walk down to the lower grove. With the rain
we’ve been having, I would suggest wearing boots or a pair of shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Its also a good idea
to bring flashlights and chairs for the non-scouts.
To get to the Heyser’s property, take Germantown Pike west past Methacton’s High School. Immediately after the school
make a left onto Smith Road. Their property is on Smith Rd as the road starts to turn to the right. There will be some cub scout signs marking their
driveway. Drive past the house and the barn and park in the field.
During our last camping trip, the scouts leaned a new song that they kept them laughing
all night long. A few of those scouts asked me if the pack could sing it at the bonfire.
The Lyrics are below and it’s sung to the tune of “God Bless America”.
Please go over it with your scout so he’s able to keep up.
I’ll have copies available at the bonfire.
God bless my underwear,
My only pair.
Stand beside them, and guide them,
Through the rips, through the holes, through the tears.
From the washer, to the dryer, to my backpack, to my rear.
God bless my underwear,
My only pair
God bless my underwear,
Or I’d be bare.
God bless my underwear
That I wear down there.
I outgrow them, then throw them,
Those who wear them will never be square
When the bully, gives a wedgie , pray that they won’t.. ever tear
God bless my underwear,
My only pair
God bless my underwear
Or I’ll need to share.
